Walk through a squatter town... (June '09)
Pictures taken during a visit to a squatter town in Coastal San Dionisio, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is hard to believe that these structures, some built out of scrap metal and cardboard, are actually someone's home. Yet despite the squalor that they live in, people here are happy and smiling, enjoying the day and each others company. Just another example of the resilience of the Filipinos. (June 2009.)
Foundation of Our Lady of Peace Mission, Inc. (June '09)
Pictures taken at Our Lady of Peace Hospital in Coastal San Dionisio, Metro Manila, Philippines. The hospital is free to the poor and is part of the Foundation of Our Lady of Peace Mission Inc, a non-profit organization in the Philippines. One of the foundation's programs is a free meal program for malnourished babies and pre-school aged children. Bundles of Joy visited one of the squatter towns to help with the lunchtime distribution. Bogo, prep (June '09)Pictures taken in Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines. Preparing for the distribution in Bogo, we packed bags of school supplies for 100 kids. Each bag contained 2 notebooks, a pencil, eraser, sharpener and a small box of crayons. We also 75 bags of used clothes to hand out to the families living in the Gawad Kalinga site in Bogo. St. Hannibal (June '09)
Pictures taken at St. Hannibal Elementary School in Paranaque, Metro Manila, Philippines. (June 2009.) St. Hannibal is a free school for poor children. The students receive free education, uniforms and meals during the school day. Bundles of Joy has assisted St. Hannibal by sending donations of school supplies.

Tahanan ni Maria (June '09)
Pictures taken at Tahanan ni Maria in Cavite, Philippines. Tahanan ni Maria is a home for the aged. Bundles of Joy reps joined the folks at Tahanan ni Maria for a karaoke/dance party and helped serve lunch in June 2009. Bundles of Joy has sent donations of used clothes and bedsheets to Tahanan ni Maria and plans to be of more assistance to this community in the future.
